What this measures
A snapshot of which series Crunchyroll listed in each country on 2026-09-04. The unit is the series: a series counts once per country regardless of how many seasons or episodes it has. Films and one-shot releases are counted the same way, as Crunchyroll lists them.

Grouping
Countries are grouped by the Jaccard index of their catalogues: the size of the intersection divided by the size of the union. Any pair at or above 0.92 is treated as the same catalogue. Grouping is greedy and seeded from the largest catalogue down, so it is stable across runs. At this threshold the 124 countries reduce to 26 groups. A different threshold would produce a different count; 0.92 was chosen because catalogue sizes within each resulting group differ by a handful of titles at most.
Coverage and gaps
This snapshot covers 124 countries. A country shown in grey on the map is one the snapshot does not cover. That is not evidence Crunchyroll is unavailable there. Every country measured returned a catalogue, and no observation of non-availability was recorded anywhere, so no claim is made about countries outside the set.
Availability can change without notice, and regional listings shift as licences begin and lapse. Figures describe 2026-09-04 and nothing after it.
